What is artwork and who creates the images I need for my Banners and Pop-ups, Shell Scheme Upgrades and Linear Modular Systems?

Simply put, artwork is the foundation to which all final sized and finished pictures and images appear to the viewer.

Artwork need not be a challenging subject especially through lack of knowledge. JHDD will provide all the 'back room' support you need to produce your final branded, corporate or lifestyle image.

From a basic banner image through to a monster building drape, JHDD provides continued support right through the process in achieving the best quality artwork and final print solutions for your project.

Our artwork studio will process finished artwork direct from you or produce finished artwork profiles. Alterations and re-sizing on existing artwork will be accommodated accordingly.

The studio is MAC based with PC support where needed.

For the seasoned people amongst us all artwork must be C,M,Y,K format with ALL FONTS OUTLINED, all layers/transparencies etc must be flattened.

Minimum file resolutions as follows:-

  • 150 dpi @ 100% document size
  • 300 dpi @ 50% document size
  • 600 dpi @ 25% document size

Accepted file formats in order of preference:-

EPS, TIFF, PDF, JPEG

File format descriptions:-

  • EPS - Scaleable vector file
  • TIFF - Bit map file type, not compressed
  • PDF - General format file, designed to work on most computers/software
  • JPEG - Bit map file type, compressed


We do not accept; Word, Excel, Publisher or Powerpoint documents, however, we will use these as a source of reference before artwork generation begins. Studio time is charged out a £60.00 per hour for any additional work that has to be undertaken on incorrect artwork files.

Our artwork studio have plotters capable of printing onto most materials from 1300mm (1.3m) wide to 5000mm (5m) wide
